Nerikomi Bowl No. 192

$120.00

Ø 8.25” x 1.5” h. Stoneware with clear glaze interior and unfinished outer surface & edge. A low plate-bowl (?). Half-plate, half-bowl? Bowl-plate?

And the blurring on the base? Each nerikomi piece is sliced from a larger block then run through a press to flatten/compress into the correct thickness then transferred onto a plaster mold which is then placed onto a wheel and trimmed (using a laser level!). That rotational process often leads to blurring that is then typically sanded away in some of the final steps however, in this rare instance, is left as a trace of the process.

It also reminds us of Harley Quinn.

From a small nerikomi block; expect variations please.
