With the compression and warping inherent in the stacking processes, the loss is significant. However, every once in a while—like a shooting star—one may appear without warning, against all expectation. This plate, made from fragments of patterns found elsewhere in the collection, is a true rarity and exquisite example of our processes.
And if you’re fan of this colorway (it’s amazing, truly), several pieces from this nerikomi block are now available through Hedgerow. Yet ANOTHER reason to head up to Bow-Edison!
Please note, there is a raised lip (which is really great design-wise and functionally) on the edge.
